Berlin Fashion Week

Berlin fashion week is a fashion event that takes place twice in a year. The winter event takes place in January and the summer event takes place in July. This is the meeting place of the icons of the fashion world. For an entire week Berlin becomes the focus of the fashion world. The first Berlin fashion week was conducted in July 2007. This event takes place in front of Brandenburg Gate.

This is where the latest trends in fashion are set. This trend setting event attracts people who have anything to do with fashion, from all over the world. They get to meet each other and exchange ideas for the betterment of world fashion trends. Consequently, the fashion world becomes richer every year after the Berlin mega event.

Innumerable fashion shows, big and small, are organized all over the city which earns the nick name ‘Fashion metropolis of the world’ for Berlin. The top class designers are always here to showcase their new creations in front of prospective buyers and the media.

The upcoming designers are also given ample opportunity to show off their talents in front of connoisseurs of fashion. A jury which includes the world famous master designer, Marc Jacobs, is functional at the Berlin fashion week. There are various competitions for different contingents of the fashion world. This fashion event is the meeting place of sophistication, glamour, luxury and beauty. No wonder Berlin is often referred to as the ‘Fashion Capital’ of the world. Here the experienced and the inexperienced designers flourish alike. The experienced get a chance to hone their creativity further and the newbies get to learn a lot.
